Our Financial Education Story
Since 2018, we've been helping everyday Australians understand money management through practical, accessible education. Here's how our journey unfolded.
The Beginning: A Simple Idea
Started in a small Bendigo office after founder Marlowe Crestworth noticed friends and family struggling with basic financial decisions. What began as weekend workshops for 12 people grew into something much bigger. We realized that financial literacy wasn't being taught anywhere practical – banks were too sales-focused, and universities too theoretical. So we decided to fill that gap with real-world education that actually makes sense.
Growing Impact and Recognition
By 2022, we had helped over 2,000 people improve their financial understanding through our programs. The breakthrough came when local credit unions started referring their members to our workshops. We also launched our digital platform, making our content accessible beyond regional Victoria. This year marked our shift from purely in-person sessions to a blended approach that could reach more people without losing the personal touch.
Expanding Horizons
Last year brought significant growth as we partnered with community colleges and local business groups across regional Australia. We developed specialized programs for small business owners, young families, and retirees – each group had different needs that generic financial advice couldn't address. Our team expanded to include former bank managers and certified financial planners who shared our vision of practical, jargon-free education.
Looking Forward to 2026
We're planning new workshops focused on digital banking skills and cryptocurrency basics – areas where people feel particularly lost. Our goal remains simple: help regular people make informed financial decisions without the intimidation factor that often comes with money topics.
